Two new long-distance trails in the Black Forest certified

The German Hiking Association has awarded in early 2011 two new long distance trails in the Black Forest with the label Qualitätsweg Walking in Germany. The award was presented on 15.01.2010 at the CMT (Holiday Fair Stuttgart). The two paths are the Renchtal gate and the two valleys gate. Both routes are multi-day hiking trails.

Renchtal The trail runs along the Renchtal valley and its mountain setting in the northern Black Forest. The trail is about 100 kilometers long and consists of five stages. Among other things, the way is the moss Tower, Alexander Hill and the All Saints Waterfalls over.

The two valleys in the area of the trail runs Elz Valley and the forests Simon Valley (Zweitälerland) in the central Black Forest just 15 miles from Freiburg. The route is 108 kilometers long and mastered 4120 meters. The trail consists of five stages. Among other things, is also on the way by Kandel, the highest mountain in the central Black Forest, and on Rohrhardsberg. The character of the two valleys sidewalk is a green diamond with a red-framed heart.
