Oberkirch is a city on the western edge of the northern Black Forest, between the Upper Rhine Valley and the mouth of Rench valley. The 20,000-resident town has an urban garden on the edge of downtown, which consists of two parts.
The two parts are called old age - and new urban garden. The hunger road mountain trail separates the two parts. The old city park, built in 1892 is located northwest of hunger mountain trail. In this section of the park are to include, a duck pond, an aviary, a culture stage, a children's playground, a fountain and a Rehgehege. The New City Garden was built in the years 1977/78 and houses, among other things, an exhibition of works of art of stone sculpture symposium, a Wassertretstelle and a miniature golf course. In both parts of the park there are numerous benches.
