The Habererturm is located half way up position in the upper Rench valley above Bad Griesbach on the cross head, an arm of the Lettstädter height. The tower was built in 1899, is dedicated to the medical officer, Dr. Haber, who has made outstanding contributions to the bathrooms in the upper Rench valley.
The built of red sandstone Habererturm is a bit long in the tooth. Still, the tower is open, the ravages of time, however, to the building. Sure in the coming years, a redevelopment be required. The door to the tower at the base of the tower has now closed but not locked. In addition to the open door at the base of the tower must be at the ascent of the tower also a roof hatch below the observation deck - and the closing down again.
The tower provides a view of the upper Rench valley with its mountain setting, because of the dense forest otherwise not be possible. On the other hand, the view is because of the location on a hillside not far at all.
